WHEELING, W.Va. – Dec. 20, 2018 -- AEP Mitchell Plant employees filled Santa’s sleigh to overflowing with hundreds of toys for local children and families in need at Christmas.
Erin Hill, AEP administrator, organizes the annual collection and purchases additional toys with money donated by AEP employees and contractors. On Tuesday, her husband Jack loaded up a truck and delivered the toys to Youth Services System’s administrative headquarters at 87 15th St., where a team of “elves” unloaded and unpacked them. The toys will be distributed to local families.
“Erin and Jack Hill, with the help of administrative assistant Kelly Clemmons and plant manager Doug Rosenberger, do a phenomenal job every year of collecting, buying and delivering these toys, and we thank them and the AEP employees for their generosity,” Tammy Kruse, YSS director of development, said.
